The girls worked hard doing chores at home to raise money for the St Vincent DePaul Society. They were rewarded with a movie and treats in the hall. The movie was 'The Polar Express'.
We are busy rehearsing for our Christmas play Elves on Strike.
The play is on for parents and other family members on Tuesday Dec 15. Today we travelled by Dublin Bus to the Lexicon to hear the Canadian author, Anne Glover, tell her string stories. Despite the weather the bus journey was great fun and getting to see the library in addition to the author talk made for a great trip.
As always there was a great response to the shoebox appeal. Many thanks to all of those who made a shoebox. The girls personally delivered their shoeboxes onto Dublin Bus.
The girls made a fabulous effort in dressing up for Halloween. You can see some of the amazing costumes below. Credit due in no small way to all who helped put their 'look' together at home. Third class performed 'Dark Disco' and the poem ' If you Ever..' on stage and they were amazing. Here is a closer look at some of the amazing costumes: The school ran a Mad Hair Day fundraiser for Crumlin Childrens Hospital. There were some amazing hairstyles on display. Two Dublin football players , Michael Fitzsimons (blonde) and Micheal (pink) brought the Liam McCarthey cup to the school.
